Long Gone...

A grim shadow the sun does cast...
Darkening our future, and betraying our past...
Wisdom's tongue lies bound in restraint...
As our dire enemy becomes our saint...

Long Gone the cloudless embrace of dawn...
Long Gone the gentle breeze, we wander as a pawn

Deeper insight insists, as the thrones in the sky decrease
The war of silence ensues, with a deceptive sense of peace
Truth, with words of ceaseless thunder, unquenchable smoldering rain
Yet, the certain storm of awareness, assists in dulling the pain

Long Gone the passionate flame of our fathers... Long Gone the gentle wisdom of mothers passed...

Armored Father, blaze your golden chariot across the sky
Expose the threshold beyond, for as warriors we shall die
Great Mother, lay down your steely veil and sword be in hand
With a sudden thirst for vengeance, we fight on our kinsmen's land

The day of their lies, Long Gone...
No future for our enemies, in the vengeful rays of The Sunless Dawn...
