Love is Lost...

'A world of beauty awaits thee, if only you'd close your eyes and see... a place of joyous terror, lay down your fear and follow me...'

With fear, we bravely face this terror...
In hopes that our truth, is somehow in error
Contemplating mortality, in the sinking mud and angry insect stings...
Eyes fixed on desolation, a deathly vision and splintered wings
A pain washed dry with subsiding tide...
A moldering memory, where something has died
Recollections of life, anoint the mind with a hope so bleak...
Reluctant passengers, it is death that life eternally seeks
An abrupt journey, like an arrow, swift and sure
Luring us to forget, the end life fights to incur
Like a greedy fool who loves to give
It's a life insane that hates to live...
Love is Lost, into the icy hands of our keeper
Slipping away, the dagger of fate sinks deeper...
The winter rains give way to a blood-laced urge
Instincts fall to pieces, with a lacerated surge...
Lost in suicidal abandon, in crimson streams that decorate the earth
Steaming wounds seem to smile, as an icy sky gives birth...
With a frozen smile, we effortlessly pay its cost...
With the promise of death, Love is Lost...
