Narration Three

Restless... I awake alone...
The air is cold... the shadows play gently in the moonlight...
Uneasy... I twist and turn... my mind somber... my spirit still...
Sleepless... the curtains blow... like fingers beckoning me...
Into silent autumn... out into the barren trees...
To a quiet lake... to drown myself again... in the haunting memories of yesterday...
In fragile remembrance... with leafless trees I share my tale...
The silent victories... but camouflaged defeat...
A treasured belief... one alone could not keep...
The voices linger... but something has died...
With a dismal sigh... my future looks to me and closes its eyes...
Stars shining... no longer for me...
Love and lies... they echo through the still trees...
Haunting this night... long ago and forever will be...
Hating this life... in the unforgiving October breeze...
