There

I pictured myself there...
In the pit of humanity, in the depths of despair
Away from the sprawling cities, neon promises
and concrete glare

I pictured myself there...
I wondered if I'd worry, if I'd even care

Where I'll haunt the dark streets, wet with pain
Together with myself, lost in the pouring rain
Melting away, down death's drain

I pictured myself there...
At the door of religious legend
Letting go of my mortal worries
There, no where, somewhere

Would I smile and bid the world farewell
Anxious for heaven, after a lifetime in hell

I can picture myself there...
Rolling through oblivion
And by then, I wouldn't care.
