  • The two stamps below have fake overprints! Beware, there are many fakes circulating of Zara stamps. Unless they are expertized they cannot be trusted. Note that these fakes use authentic Italian stamps, which are very common and inexpensive. They have fake hand stamps where the end result looks dull and the ink bleeds into the stamp. If you compare this with the originals you will see this does not occur with the authentic Zara stamps.

  • Here is a fake overprint that would be considered an error because the overprint is not positioned correctly. This forged overprint is much more believable than the two stamps above, but it still isn't convincing when compared to genuine overprints (see above). The ink is not strong and solid like the originals.
