The Iraq-USA War

Note: I found these in some paperwork and thought I'd share them with you. These are the size of a standard business cards and are from the American murder spree in Iraq in search of 'weapons of mass destruction'. This took place on March 20, 2003 and was insanely called 'Operation Iraqi Freedom', more like 'let's destroy the primary enemy of Israel'. But, back to the card. I especially like the rule 'Prisoners are forbidden to direct derogatory comments toward camp personnel.' Like 'Oh no, don't you call our brave soldiers bad names! Their feelings might get hurt...' Remember: we're here for your freedom! (and your oil, gold and land, but that is just incidental).

Note: I found this litter stuck in my door. 'I command thee to commemorate my death!' Luke 22:19 states: 'And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."' Seems kind of weird to command people to commemorate your death, I mean if you were loved people would want to do it because you were important to them and to honor your memory. The topic 'Who Will Restore the Earth? Learn about the wonderful future in store for the earth and for mankind' is an interesting one. We already know apocalypse and total death and destruction is in store for the earth, and Jesus himself says that he will come back as a destroyer and 'spit out the lukewarm'. At least they got one thing right on this flyer: the future doesn't seem to have white people in it. By the way, golf is of the devil and golf club ballrooms are places of Satan.

Note: Here are two rare Third Reich matchboxes! But... are they really? NO! These are fake, made to rip off collectors. This bears a graphic from the Walloonian Waffen-SS volunteers. It would be very rare and desirable to collectors if this was authentic, but it is not. It is also a fantasy fake, meaning it never even existed. These are decent quality fakes. Someone took old wooden matchbooks and glued the graphics on them, which help them to look old. Look closely at the Walloon graphic, the person didn't even bother, or didn't notice, that the picture contains an URL of a notable WWII stamp dealer, which they lifted this picture from (bottom left of graphic).

Experts estimate that as many as 98,000 people die in any given year from medical errors that occur in hospitals. That's more than die from motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, or AIDS--three causes that receive far more public attention. Indeed, more people die annually from medication errors than from workplace injuries. Add the financial cost to the human tragedy, and medical error easily rises to the top ranks of urgent, widespread public problems.
To Err Is Human breaks the silence that has surrounded medical errors and their consequence--but not by pointing fingers at caring health care professionals who make honest mistakes. After all, to err is human. Instead, this book sets forth a national agenda--with state and local implications--for reducing medical errors and improving patient safety through the design of a safer health system.
This volume reveals the often startling statistics of medical error and the disparity between the incidence of error and public perception of it, given many patients' expectations that the medical profession always performs perfectly. A careful examination is made of how the surrounding forces of legislation, regulation, and market activity influence the quality of care provided by health care organizations and then looks at their handling of medical mistakes.
Using a detailed case study, the book reviews the current understanding of why these mistakes happen. A key theme is that legitimate liability concerns discourage reporting of errors--which begs the question, "How can we learn from our mistakes?"

Medical error is not included on death certificates or in rankings of cause of death. Martin Makary and Michael Daniel assess its contribution to mortality and call for better reporting
The annual list of the most common causes of death in the United States, compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), informs public awareness and national research priorities each year. The list is created using death certificates filled out by physicians, funeral directors, medical examiners, and coroners. However, a major limitation of the death certificate is that it relies on assigning an International Classification of Disease (ICD) code to the cause of death.1 As a result, causes of death not associated with an ICD code, such as human and system factors, are not captured. The science of safety has matured to describe how communication breakdowns, diagnostic errors, poor judgment, and inadequate skill can directly result in patient harm and death. We analyzed the scientific literature on medical error to identify its contribution to US deaths in relation to causes listed by the CDC.2
Death from medical care itself
Medical error has been defined as an unintended act (either of omission or commission) or one that does not achieve its intended outcome,3 the failure of a planned action to be completed as intended (an error of execution), the use of a wrong plan to achieve an aim (an error of planning),4 or a deviation from the process of care that may or may not cause harm to the patient.5 Patient harm from medical error can occur at the individual or system level. The taxonomy of errors is expanding to better categorize preventable factors and events.6 We focus on preventable lethal events to highlight the scale of potential for improvement....'
The Mighty Venom

Note: A dark and sad day... Cronos has died. At least he picked a somber month to go: October 1, 2026. He was only 63 years old. Death has cheated us again. I remember first hearing Venom when I was 12 years old. I bought the devil head picture album used and had no idea what was in store for me. The first song I ever heard was Manitou, a truly badass song. I loved it. I was hooked.
Throughout my life I never met more insane and dedicated fans than that of Venom. I've personally seen multiple people get their asses kicked over Venom disputes. Venom isn't just a band for many people, it is a religion.
Thank the gods for Venom. They are truly kind to give us mortals the likes of Cronos and Venom. What a better way to waste away the days while waiting for death. And if your life is shit, well, at least you had Venom.
